Game 3 between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday was a tale of two halves. Indiana led 57-47 at halftime before Milwaukee outscored them 70-44 to close the game. The Bucks turned a 10-point deficit into an 86-75 lead before the last 12 minutes.

Gary Trent Jr. exploded in the third quarter for 18 points to give Giannis Antetokounmpo much-needed help. The shooting guard went 5-for-7, including 5-for-6 from deep in the third frame to turn the game around. Antetokounmpo finished the game with 37 points, 12 rebounds and six assists to lead the Bucks.

Pascal Siakam stood up for the Pacers with 28 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Tyrese Haliburton contributed 14 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. However, his plus/minus was -23, the worst among the starters.

Game 4 will take place on Sunday with the Bucks looking to tie the series.

Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks Game Summary

After comfortably winning the first two games, the Pacers looked to grab a stranglehold of the series with another victory. As they have done throughout the series, the Pacers leaned on their balanced attack in Game 3. The starters had a solid first quarter, while Bennedict Mathurin came off the bench to give the team a lift with seven points.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo remained nearly unguardable. He scored 13 points and added four rebounds and two assists in just eight minutes. Milwaukee ended the first quarter tied with Indiana 26-26.

The Bucks and the Pacers were tied at 38-38 with 5:03 to go in the second quarter before Tyrese Haliburton led a 10-0 run. The surge allowed the visiting team to lead 57-47 at halftime.

The Bucks came up with their best two-way performance of the series in the third quarter. Milwaukee sizzled on offense and clamped down defensively to win the period 39-18 and take an 86-75 lead into the final quarter.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. steadily pulled away in the fourth frame and rolled to a 117-101 win to cut the series deficit to 2-1.
