Indiana Pacers vs OKC Thunder Game Player Stats and Box Score for June 16 | 2025 NBA Finals, Game 5

Jalen Williams dropped a playoff career-high 40 points to lead the OKC Thunder to a 120-109 Game 5 win over the Indiana Pacers. Monday's victory pushed the Thunder to a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals before the series shifts back to Indiana for Game 6 on Thursday. Unlike in the series opener, where the Thunder wilted, the home team held on for the pivotal win.

Tyrese Haliburton, limited due to a leg injury, scored four points, going 0-for-6, including 0-for-4 from deep. Pascal Siakam took up some of the scoring slack, delivering 28 points with six rebounds and five assists. The Pacers will be hoping the extra rest day will help Haliburton for the win-or-go-home Game 6 showdown in Indiana.

Indiana Pacers vs OKC Thunder Game Summary

The Indiana Pacers looked to bounce back in Game 5 on Monday against the OKC Thunder. Indiana lost a golden opportunity to take a 3-1 series lead two nights ago when it wilted late in the fourth quarter at home. The 111-104 loss allowed the Thunder to tie the series at 2-2 heading into the pivotal showdown in Oklahoma.

The home team pulled out another surprise for the second time in the series. After having Isaiah Hartenstein come off the bench in the first four games of the NBA Finals, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault started the big man.

Despite returning to the bench, Cason Wallace gave a two-way boost to the Thunder. He had six points in the period and played solid defense against Tyrese Haliburton. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 7 points and four assists to carry the Thunder to a 32-22 lead after one quarter.

Aaron Nesmith's 3-pointer with 8:10 in the second quarter allowed the Pacers to cut the deficit to 40-32. OKC regained control of the game late to take a 59-45 halftime lead.

T.J. McConnell caught fire in the third quarter to revive the Pacers' flailing offense. The backup point guard delivered 13 points and two assists to help his team cut OKC's lead to 87-79 entering the fourth quarter.

Indiana steadily cut Oklahoma's lead in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. Tyrese Haliburton made two free throws to inch the Pacers to within 103-97 with 6:48 remaining.

Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander combined for a crippling 10-0 run to give the Thunder much-needed breathing room. The Oklahoma defense held up to win 120-109.
