Is Andrew Wiggins hurt? Latest rumors regarding Golden State Warriors star's condition explored
Andrew Wiggins has not played a game for the Golden State Warriors since February 13 against the Washington Wizards. Wiggins has been away from the team for the past 14 games as he deals with a personal family matter.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr hinted last week that Wiggins might not play again this season. Kerr told reporters after Golden State's win over the Milwaukee Bucks that the former No. 1 pick is dealing with something bigger than basketball.
"There’s nothing to report," Kerr said. "So, we're giving him the space as we talked about, as he deals with something that's way more important than the game. And if he's able to come back, then that would be great. And if not, then that's the case. And whatever happens, we handle it accordingly."
While the Golden State Warriors have been quiet about what Andrew Wiggins is dealing with, Marcus Thompson of The Athletic reported that it could be something serious. Thompson cited an anonymous Warriors player who said that Wiggins is dealing with "some real sh*t."
Wiggins' girlfriend, Mychal Johnson, remains active on Instagram and has been posting images of their daughters. The couple has two children together, Amyha and Alayah.
Steph Curry discussed what Wiggins was going through with a somber tone and noted that it was really more than just the game. Curry offered his support to his teammate and noted that he can take as much time as he wants before returning to the team.
"It's a tough situation in terms of him being away for so long, but necessary," Curry said. "Life is bigger than basketball. Whatever him and his family are going through, that's all that matters. Whenever he's ready to come back, I'm sure he will."

Bob Myers refutes reports of Andrew Wiggins missing the rest of the season
Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd reported on Wednesday that the Golden State Warriors are prepared to not have Andrew Wiggins for the rest of the season.
"I was told last night that Andrew Wiggins likely doesn’t return for the season," Cowherd said. "It's not 100%, but the Warriors have come to terms with that."
However, Warriors general manager Bob Myers refuted Cowherd's report. He told 95.7 The Game's Daryle Johnson and Matt Steinmetz that they would like to respect Wiggins' privacy.
"We've got to respect him and his life and his privacy, just like I would respect yours," Myers said. :Certainly, I'm sure he wants to be here. We want him here."
