"Is he Anthony Davis type player?" - Knicks superfan Fat Joe points out a major concern with Karl-Anthony Towns trade

The trade executed by the New York Knicks, which sent Julius Randle to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Karl-Anthony Towns, is a hot current NBA topic. Fans and experts have discussed the deal since it was finalized on Friday.

Fat Joe, a Knicks superfan, posted a social media video asking how Towns will perform for his favorite NBA franchise.

In his video, the man behind the hit song All The Way Up questioned the star's toughness. Playing with New York could be difficult because he has to win over the fans consistently. Since Towns isn't known as a rugged player, Fat Joe voiced his concerns.

"We needed height, but KAT allows us to open the floor even more because he hits that three with consistency. Now the big question is, is he an Anthony Davis type guy?
"One thing you got, with [Julius] Randle, you know he's tough. He go'n bang it out with anybody. He's tough, tough, tough. The only question they have about Karl-Anthony is, is he an Anthony Davis type player?

Lastly, the rapper asked:

"Is he going to be tough?"

While the four-time All-Star isn't a bruiser, he still adds plenty of upside.

The versatile center proved his outside shooting creates mismatches for big men who are slow on the perimeter. The 2015-16 Rookie of the Year also brings big-game experience after helping the T'Wolves reach the WCF last year.

The KAT trade was discussed all summer between the Knicks and Wolves

Fans were surprised by the Knicks-Wolves trade that Shams Charania of The Athletic confirmed on Friday. However, most fans didn't know the deal was in the works for months. Both organizations kept in constant communication regarding the swap.

ESPN's Tim Bontemps and Bobby Marks shared that the trade involved a third team. The deal was finalized after the Hornets received DaQuan Jeffries.

After nine seasons with the Wolves, Towns is now at the Mecca of basketball. KAT averaged 22.9 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists during his time in Minnesota.
