"Is it my fault LeBron’s a bum?" - Charles Barkley doesn't hold back after losing his parlay with Lakers' loss vs. Suns
Charles Barkley minced no words after LeBron James and the LA Lakers lost 127-100 to the Phoenix Suns. The former MVP lambasted James as LA suffered their third loss on the bounce, and he had his reasons. Barkley's roast came after losing his parlay with the Purple and Gold's loss, as they were blown away by a massive 27-point margin.
Speaking right after the game, Barkley sounded off on James saying:
"Is it my fault LeBron's a bum?"
James had a quiet night with 18 points and 10 assists. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 25 points and 15 rebounds. They were outplayed by the returning duo Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant posting 23 points each with Devin Booker adding a game-high 26 points. LA has now lost three straight and will look to regroup when they head to San Antonio.
LeBron James and Lakers bounce back with win over Spurs
LeBron James' triple-double outing helped the LA Lakers bounce back with a solid 119-101 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the second leg of their back-to-back. James ended his evening with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Anthony Davis helped himself to another double-double along the way with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Dalton Knecht led the Purple and Gold with 20 points and eight boards.
The win sees LA improve to 11-7 and climb to fifth place in the stacked Western Conference. The challenge now will be to ensure the winning run continues as they face a stern test in the games to come. Up next, they play the OKC Thunder in their NBA Cup clash that took a hit with a loss to the Suns.
They follow it up with a four-game road trip starting with the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center and then against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat respectively. Only time will tell if LA can sustain the momentum that's swung in and against them so far this season.
As for Charles Barkley and his parlay woes, there's not a lot to be said. But for the ones who bet on LeBron James and the Lakers to win, they wouldn't be complaining.
