Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing today against Hawks? Latest on Bucks superstar's availability for Emirates NBA Cup Semifinal (Dec. 14)

Giannis Antetokounmpo will suit up for the Milwaukee Bucks in their pivotal NBA Cup semifinal clash against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Listed earlier as "probable" on the team’s injury report, Giannis is dealing with right patella tendinopathy, a lingering issue that has troubled him for some time.

The Greek superstar was pivotal in the Bucks' 114-109 quarterfinal victory over the Orlando Magic. Playing 36 minutes, Giannis delivered an outstanding performance, putting up 37 points, seven rebounds and one assist to secure the win.

The two-time league MVP has been instrumental in the Bucks’ recent resurgence. After a shaky start to the season, Doc Rivers' squad has climbed to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 13-11 record, winning eight of their last 10 games.

Giannis is once again playing at an MVP-caliber level, leading the league in scoring and ranking fifth in rebounds. The one-time NBA Finals MVP is averaging an impressive 32.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting an efficient 61.2% from the field, though his 3-point shooting remains a challenge at 17.6%.

After securing their spot in the semifinals and booking a trip to Las Vegas, Giannis Antetokounmpo made his intentions clear, stating that the team is heading to "Sin City" with one goal in mind.

"I am very happy that we can go to Vegas. We have unfinished business," Giannis said.
"We're going to have fun, we're going to play good basketball, we're going to compete. We're not going just to go there, we're going there to win games."
