Miami Heat guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. comes off as one of the most decorated names to be playing in the final of the 2024 Summer League in Las Vegas. The Heat take on the Memphis Grizzlies in the final at Thomas & Mack Center on Monday night. The rookie was part of the USA select team that played the scrimmage game against Team USA to help prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Jaquez has suited up for the Heat in the last few Summer League games and expressed his decision to take part in the rest of the contests, making himself a cinch to be part of the finals. While he was DNP for the semifinals against the Golden State Warriors, there is a possibility that Jaime Jaquez will suit up for the finals.

In the forward's absence, Pelle Larsson recorded 21 points, six assists, four rebounds and four steals. The game marked the first time this summer season that the guard vaulted the 20-point mark. Kel'el Ware was his impressive self with 18 points and five rebounds.

The ongoing Summer League saw the forward average 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. The Heat's SL outfit will hope that the 18th overall pick will put his NBA experience to good use. Last season, Jaime Jaquez averaged 11.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists, starting 20 of the 75 games for Miami.

Jaquez showed out in his first matchup with the Boston Celtics as he notched up a double-double with five assists. He was aggressive and played at a solid pace that will surely see him earn more minutes in the NBA this season. He followed it up with another great outing against the OKC Thunder with 23 points, five rebounds and two assists, shooting 8-13 from the field and 3-5 from the deep.
