Is Jonathan Kuminga playing tonight against Rockets? Latest on Warriors forward's availability for Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinal (Dec. 11)

Jonathan Kuminga will be part of the Golden State Warriors' lineup for their NBA Cup quarterfinal game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. The young forward has been putting up solid performances for the Warriors this season.

While he initially saw fluctuating minutes and was occasionally out of the starting lineup, Kuminga now appears to have secured a regular spot in the starting five for the foreseeable future.

Kuminga's most recent appearance came during the Warriors' 114-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. He played 30 minutes, contributing 20 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Following the win, Kuminga shared his thoughts on his growing role within the team and his desire to make a more significant impact as a consistent starter.

"It’s a blessing to be in that position," Kuminga said. "I feel like it’s more of an encouragement for me to just keep doing what I’ve always been doing and working hard. I’m happy to be back in the starting lineup."

This season, Kuminga has been averaging 15.0 points per game on 44.8% shooting, including 30.8% from beyond the arc. In addition, he is contributing 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game.
