"Is this real?" NBA fans in disbelief as 2011 picture of Kamala Harris with Carmelo Anthony resurfaces on social media
Basketball fans were in disbelief after an old picture of Carmelo Anthony with the US presidential candidate Kamala Harris surfaced on social media. After Joe Biden stepped down from the US presidential elections, he named Vice President, Kamala Harris, as the front-runner and face of the Democratic Party.
New York Basketball posted a picture of Harris and Anthony on X and the post went viral. The picture of Harris and Melo together is from 2011 when Anthony was playing for the New York Knicks and Harris was the Attorney General of California.
In the picture, Anthony and Kamala are standing side by side. Melo can be seen wearing a leather jacket with a white T-shirt underneath it. While Harris is wearing a black top and a black leather jacket.
The fans flooded the comments sections after they saw the picture of the former Nuggets player alongside the 2024 Presidential candidate. They did not shy away from expressing their opinion with one fan asking if the picture was even real in the first place.

Other fans joined the fray and left their thoughts about the unusual duo.

In the video, Harris can be seen meeting and talking with the basketball players set to represent the USA in the most prestigious international sports tournament in the world.
She can be seen talking to Jrue Holiday and shaking his hand. After ending her conversation with Holiday, she proceeds to have a brief chat with the team's leader LeBron James.
