His presence will help the 5-0 Memphis Grizzlies looking to win their first NBA Summer League championship since 2019. They haven’t lost a game this season even though ninth-overall pick Zach Edey has played only 8:35 due to an ankle injury.

Pippen Jr. has played in all five games for Memphis this Summer League so far. He comes into the Final averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in 29.4 minutes per game. In the NBA, he averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

He spent a major part of the 2022-23 season and part of the past season with the LA Lakers G-League team, the South Bay Lakers. Memphis signed him to a two-way contract in January 2024.

With the experience that Pippen Jr. brings to the table, the Grizzlies will hope that their versatile guard will be able to help the side land their first piece of silverware. The Grizzlies vs Heat matchup is slated for 8 pm ET. The game can be watched live on ESPN. Fans can also stream the game live on ESPN and the NBA App.
