Is Trae Young playing tonight against the Detroit Pistons?
Trae Young will be available on Tuesday night as the Atlanta Hawks host the Detroit Pistons at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
For the season, Young is averaging 26.7 points on 43.4% shooting, 10.0 assists, and 3.1 rebounds.
Although Young will be available, he will be playing without his backcourt tandem in Dejounte Murray as he is out due to an illness. Jalen Johnson (mild left hamstring strain, mild left groin strain) will also be unavailable.
The Hawks (35-36) are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
After the Hawks' big 127-119 win against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, Young was questionable for the Spurs' game with a right knee contusion. The Hawks' medical staff were only taking precautions with Young as he became available for the game.
Coming off the Hawks' 126-118 loss to the San Antonio Spurs (19-52) on Sunday, expect Trae Young to have a bounce-back performance, as he only scored nine points on 4-for-15 shooting with six assists, four rebounds and five turnovers.
During that game, Dejounte Murray led the Hawks with 22 points on 10-for-25 shooting with eight assists and six rebounds against his former team.
Trae Young will take on more of the offensive load with Murray unavailable.
The Detroit Pistons are 16-56 this season.
