"It's lowkey cheating for real" - Former NFL DROTY gets salty after Kevin Durant crushes him in NBA 2K25

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant had a friendly game of NBA 2K25 with former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner. Durant showed the professional cornerback that having real experience on the court has an advantage. In their first game against each other, KD took home the W.

The Boardroom released a sneak peek of what Durant and Sauce did on the show together. It centered around the newly released video game. The Suns star chose to represent his team, while Sauce picked the Dallas Mavericks to try and stop the two-time Finals MVP.

Gardner is the self-proclaimed best NBA 2K player in the NFL. As soon as Durant heard that, he was engaged and excited to play the game. During the contest, it was intense and the football star had to get his frustration out.

"He actually, in real life, like playing ball with them," Gardner said. "So like y'all trying to have it as realistic as possible so he know all they jumpers. It's lowkey cheating for real."

Durant simply laughed it off and continued to dominate with the Suns. The All-Star forward made extensive use of his video game counterpart throughout the game, which enabled him to score 27 points and win the game.

In the end, Gardner was a bit salty and comforted himself since it was only their first game against each other.

Kevin Durant was surprised to find out his NBA 2K rating

Most players who play the NBA 2K series usually monitor their rating. One of the players who does that is Kevin Durant. For most of his career, he was always rated over the 90s. This year's video game is no different as he was given a 94 overall rating.

However, the star forward wasn't impressed with what the 2K games gave him.

"I'm a 94? That's crazy," Durant said."I'm sick of that s**t."

After finding out about his NBA 2K rating, he was asked to guess the top 10 highest-rated players in the video game. While guessing, the 14-time All-Star couldn't get his mind off what he just learned.

"That's crazy though. I'm a 94, though? Like for real though, that's crazy. I'ma have to get on somebody's a** about that."

Last year, he was given a 96 overall at the start of the season.

In the history of NBA 2K games, Durant hasn't been given a rating lower than 80 overall. His first appearance was NBA 2K8 and he was given an 80 overall. The highest he's been given was in NBA 2K19, where he was given a 97 overall, which happened just once in his career.
