Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards finally snapped their 16-game losing streak as they surprisingly defeated Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. Poole had a brilliant performance scoring 39 points to send the Nuggets home.
Poole then unveiled his new "drowning in the pool" celebration after hitting his ninth long-distance bomb. Washington fans went wild as Poole scored his 14th point in the third quarter alone.

Wizards vs Nuggets recap (Dec. 7): Jordan Poole sets new career-high to end Washington's 16-game losing streak
The Washington Wizards hosted the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. Looking at the matchup, the Nuggets were the clear favorites to win as the Wizards have shown no signs of life in the 2024-25 season. However, Washington surprisingly turned things around and pulled off an upset with a 122-113 victory.
Jordan Poole played a prominent role in the Wizards' hard-fought victory. Poole put up 39 points, eight assists and five rebounds. He also hit nine 3-pointers, which was a new career-high.
Assisting Poole and his relentless assault were Jonas Valanciunas and Justin ChampagnieJustin Champagnie. Valanciunas delivered on both ends of the floor with a double-double performance, adding 20 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. As for Champagnie, he put up 23 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
