Ja Morant's sister Riley Morant delivers scathing critique of "convicted felon" Donald Trump's election victory

Memphis Grizzlies All-Star guard Ja Morant's sister Riley Morant lamented Donald Trump being elected back to the U.S. presidency following the elections on Tuesday. She made her frustration known by posting a scathing critique on social media on Wednesday.

Riley took to her Instagram stories to pour out her emotions over the victory of Trump over Democratic opponent Kamala Harris. She could not wrap her head around the fact that a convicted felon was elected to the highest position in the United States.

She wrote:

"If a convicted felon can be president and have all the benefits the white house can offer, shouldn't a convicted felon be able to work at a local walmart and buy a home?"

Riley Morant continued:

"Look up what a convicted felon CANNOT do, and lmk why he should be president if he fits thats criteria..."

Trump is set to return to the White House as the 47th U.S. President following his election victory. It will be his second term as head of state after serving as the 45th President from 2017 to 2021.

His victory came despite being convicted earlier this year in New York on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in relation to a hush-money payment to an adult film star before the 2016 presidential election.

Now elected back to office, his sentencing may not be in the cards anytime soon.

Riley Morant says America missed out on a good woman president in Kamala Harris

Just as she expressed her disappointment over Donald Trump being elected again to the White House, Riley Morant also shared her sentiments on the United States missing out on a highly qualified leader in Kamala Harris.

She shared a heartfelt message on the candidacy of the current vice president in separate posts on her Instagram stories, highlighting how Harris was every bit qualified for being the president, regardless of her gender and race as what others tried to put her down for.

Morant wrote, which accompanied a picture of Harris:

"As that administration practically destroys the country strips away rights for many people, just remember what we could have had and what we will eventually have ...
"For anyone that says 'A woman can't run the country. She will not be respected' forget that respect and trust is earned, and she did that. Earned it. Her gender does not change her ability to lead this country. Her race doesn't change that either..."

Harris, 60, who made history by becoming the first African-American and Asian-American vice president, lost her bid for the U.S. presidency to Republican Donald Trump in the elections on Tuesday. She has since accepted the defeat, speaking in front of her supporters.
