Ja Morant wants to posterize LeBron James, dunk all over Golden State Warriors

Ja Morant is known for his brash attitude, but backs it up with his performance on the court.

Morant has been dunking on people since entering the league in 2019. He wants to add LeBron James to his poster collection, while putting a target on the entire Golden State Warriors.

In an appearance on Danny Green's Inside the Green Room podcast, Green asked Morant which player and team he wants to posterize.

"LeBron. ... Golden State," Morant said.

Green tried to get an explantion from Morant, but the host decided to answer for his teammate, as it was self explanatory.

"He's the face," Green said. "He's the pinnacle. ... 'Bron doesn't jump as much anymore. I can see it happening. Everybody says LeBron, which I get, but to me, I always think people go after the people they target the most. The person that talks the most trash."

Only a few players have posterized LeBron James during his legendary career, as he's usually the one dunking on people. Now that he's 38, it might be less difficult to put "The King" on a poster. Ja Morant, with his insane vertical, might actually pull it off, though.

Meanwhile, Morant's desire to dunk on the entire defending championss is warranted. The Memphis Grizzlies started a rivalry with the Golden State Warriors last season. However, the Warriors got the last laugh when they eliminated the Grizzlies in the Western Conference semifinals.

Klay Thompson added fuel to the fire when he trashed Jaren Jackson Jr. after winning the NBA championship. The two teams faced off on Christmas Day, with the Steph Curry-less Warriors beating the Grizzlies.

Ja Morant returned from a two-game absence on Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. He put in a great performance, as he finished with 38 points, five rebounds and three assists. He didn't show any signs of his minor thigh injury, playing 32 minutes.

Morant also posterized Jakob Poeltl for the second time in as many seasons. With less than four minutes left in the game, Morant attacked the basket and dunked on Poeltl. He did the same to the Spurs center last season during a fastbreak.

Jaren Jackson added 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Desmond Bane had 18 points and six rebounds. Steven Adams also had a big game with 11 points, 18 rebounds and five assists as the Grizzlies beat the Spurs 135-129.

Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson had 24 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead San Antonio. Tre Jones put up 22 points, six assists and six rebounds, while Zach Collins contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
