Jalen Brunson & Josh Hart roast each other over Knicks guard's custom Manchester City jersey pic
The bond between college roommates turned NBA teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart goes far beyond the four lines of the basketball court. Just as expected, their friendship also lies in being comfortable roasting each other. This time, Hart publicly embarrassed Brunson, but the latter had a perfect reply.
The New York Knicks posted a picture of Brunson wearing a Manchester City soccer jersey earlier today. The Knicks' X handle stated:
"Mr. New York."
Josh Hart wasted no time roasting Brunson about the post. Just a few minutes later, Hart reacted with a puking face emoji. However, Brunson did not hold back from roasting his longtime friend.
Reacting to Hart's emoji comment, Brunson wrote that he reacts similarly when Hart is scared to play College Football.
"My reaction when you scared to play CFB," Brunson wrote.
Brunson and Hart were roommates when they played at Villanova. Hart was drafted in 2017, a year before Brunson. The Utah Jazz drafted Hart, and the Dallas Mavericks selected Bruson in the 2018 NBA Draft.
During the 2022-23 season, Hart and Brunson were traded to the New York Knicks. Brunson was traded from the Dallas Mavericks, and Hart from the Portland Trail Blazers. Hart and Brunson also host a podcast called Roommates Show.
Jalen Brunson roasts Josh Hart with viral LeBron James dunk
LeBron James has some of the biggest NBA poster dunks. From Jason Terry and Jusuf Nurkic to Paul George, some of the world's best players have been his victims. However, none of the aforementioned standouts experienced LBJ's wrath like Hart.
At the end of February 2020, 'King James' received a pass from Alex Caruso during a fastbreak and took off. Hart was trying to draw a charge but was too late.
Later, a picture of the dunk that showed James' groin area on Josh Hart's face went viral on the internet. Unfortunately, Brunson remembers the humiliating moment vividly.
In April of this year, during an episode of the Roommates Show, Brunson discussed LeBron James' dunk on Paul George. During the clip, he remembered James' dunk on his Knicks teammate and asked the crew to pull up the picture.
“It looks like LeBron it dragging his umm, I don’t know what stuff across his [Josh Hart] face," Brunson said.
Last season, the New York Knicks, with Brunson and Hart, reached the Eastern Conference semifinals. To complement their already talented roster, the Knicks traded for Mikal Bridges this offseason.
