Jalen Brunson's warning to Josh Hart over NSFW congrats backfires on Knicks guard
New York Knicks guard Josh Hart just proved to Jalen Brunson that true friends aren't easily threatened. During an episode of the Roommates Show posted last week, Brunson showed the congratulations video he received from his former college teammate. It wasn't the best video for congratulating someone, as it leaned more toward the NSFW side.
The Knicks named Brunson their new team captain in early August. Most people congratulated him because of this. Several former Knicks even encouraged Brunson. But Hart took a different route with his congratulatory message.
On the show, Brunson showed Hart's original video, wherein he said:
"JB, it's your boy JHart man, Shannon here. Go ahead s**k."
Since they are close friends, Brunson wanted Hart to give a more genuine and heartfelt congratulatory message. However, Hart refused, leading Brunson to threaten his teammate that he'd post the NSFW video on his Instagram story.
However, that strategy backfired since Hart didn't care if it got posted. He even entertained the idea of reposting it to his Instagram story as long as he gets tagged.
"Oh, that's fine," Hart said. "I'll repost it... Add to story."
Hart was laughing about the idea and didn't care while Brunson still didn't get a heartfelt congratulations from his teammate.

Jalen Brunson reacts to Hart's immature comments at Fanatics Fest
The two teammates were together during Fanatics Fest held last weekend with some iconic people from New York. They showed their real friendship during a live panel where fans got to see their interaction up close.
When the topic of the Knicks' postseason journey was brought up, Hart decided to show Jalen Brunson a bit of appreciation. However, his phrasing wasn't the best and it left fans puzzled.
"It started with JB [Jalen Brunson]. He put it on his back & we all came behind him… It just shows the love we have for each other," Hart said. "t’s on your shoulder and your back bro! And we all just got behind you! So, we appreciate you dog!"
The fans had a good laugh about how he phrased his compliments to his All-Star teammate. Brunson then shared how disappointed he was with Hart's comments.
"We just had a moment backstage where you were actually mature. And you were, for once, being a responsible adult! And then we get out in public and you don’t know how to act."
The Knicks duo has become iconic for their tight-knit relationship, and fans can look forward to more fun exchanges from them next season.
