Jalen Rose backs Steve Kerr comparing Michael Jordan to Steph Curry: “Reason he's making this comparison is because Steph is box office"
Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry is a generational talent who's often left out of the GOAT debate by experts and fans. Warriors coach Steve Kerr recently recognized his star's talent and compared him to one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan.
After their game against the Washington Wizards, Kerr said in an interview that Curry is the modern version of Jordan. The Golden State head coach knows what he's talking about, as he played with MJ in Chicago during the 1990s.
"He’s the modern MJ," Kerr said.
Jalen Rose echoed a similar sentiment, describing Curry as a "show-stopper."
"I'm not mad at it. And the reason that he's making this comparison is basically because Steph is box office, lives up to the hype and he's a champion. And he's a man of the people. Shaking hands, kissing babies, signing autographs, he understands what comes with being on the marquee. Not only to just be dominant, but to be a showstopper," Rose said.
"The way MJ did it, with his flair and his tongue wagging and playing above the rim. Steph is able to do it with his effortless, seeming, pop a shot jump shots."
The Warriors won their most recent bout against the Wizards after a stellar performance from Curry. He scored 41 points to lead the team to a 22-22 record in the Western Conference. The team could lean on the eight-time All-Star a lot more now that he's back in the starting lineup after missing 11 straight games.
Last night, Steph played his fourth straight game after being on the sidelines dealing with a left shoulder injury. The 2022 Finals MVP didn't seem to miss a beat and torched the Wizards, who were without Bradley Beal.
Steph Curry is averaging 29.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists this season.

Steph Curry shared an impressive speech at the White House
Following their game against the Wizards, the Warriors didn't leave the nation's capital as they visited President Joe Biden and the White House. They were welcomed with open arms, and the POTUS even shared some words of encouragement with the organization.
Steph Curry shared a speech about how they were inspired to work together as a team.
"We are a team, we do it together, and to be able to celebrate our championship together with you here, it means a lot. To bring that trophy here, it means a lot," Curry said.
"I think we were here seven years ago, for our first championship. So, to have another opportunity to be here, it means the world."
After seven long years of not being able to visit the White House, the Warriors had a blast with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
