James Harden reveals 3-word response from his mom after All-Star nod
James Harden took to Instagram to share his proud mother's congratulatory message after the LA Clippers star made the NBA All-Star 2025 reserves. The list was announced on Thursday, and 'The Beard' found himself among some marquee names that cut.
Harden's mother had a crisp 3-word response that the now 11x NBA All-Star shared on social media.
James Harden is in the middle of a scintillating season, averaging 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 8.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 44 games this season. He has been instrumental in the team's playmaking this season.
The West All-Star reserves include Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs), Anthony Davis (LA Lakers), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Alperen Sengun (Houston Rockets), and Jalen Williams (OKC Thunder).
"I feel like I deserve it": James Harden had expressed his wish to make the All-Star nod ahead of the announcement
Earlier, James Harden had made his feelings known about making the All-Star roster well ahead of its announcement. Per ClutchPoints:
"It would mean a lot. I think it would be my 10th or 11th. Just being one of the top 24 players in this league, I feel like I deserve it, but I’m not gonna go on a campaign for myself. I just go out there, put the work in, and it is what it is."
Harden's NBA resume has been impressive at best, with a former MVP, a 2x assists champion, 3x NBA scoring champion, a 7x All-NBA, and a member of the league's 75th Anniversary Team. His 11th All-Star selection further makes his case as one of the premier players in the league. The only thing missing is a title and the hope for the Clippers this season is that they would go the distance with a healthy Harden and Kawhi Leonard.
