Jimmy Butler wines and dines with country singer Luke Combs, days after release of new album
Jimmy Butler dined with country music singer Luke Combs and shared pictures on his social media. Just a few days ago, Combs dropped his latest album Fathers & Sons.
In a series of pictures posted on his Instagram Story, the Miami Heat star was seen wining and dining with the singer. In one of the pictures, Butler seemed especially excited with both hands in the air in a celebration gesture.
Just after dropping his new album, Combs performed at SoFi Stadium in California for a large crowd. In the end, the “Beautiful Crazy” singer was also joined by the Miami Heat star and actor Luke Wilson.
Jimmy Butler’s love for country music has been well-documented. He has also said that he wants to produce country music songs. The NBA star told The Guardian that he wants to record 200 country music songs and produce them. So far, Butler has already produced 60.
Previously, Butler has been seen singing modern country music singers like Luke Combs and Tim McGraw. He has also said that he likes to annoy his teammates with his selection of songs.
Last year in November, Butler posted a story on his Instagram. He was on the team bus belting out Melvins' "99 Bottles of Beer."
Jimmy Butler wants to be DJ Khaled of country music
Jimmy Butler knows how to make money with things that he is interested in. Butler loves coffee, and in 2020, the NBA star started a coffee business called Bigface during the NBA Bubble. Now, Butler is ready to take his business talent in the music industry.
The six-time NBA All-Star player said that he wants to become like DJ Khaled. The only difference is that he wants to bring together the best artists from country music.
“I’m like the DJ Khaled of this thing,” Butler told The Guardian. “He’s a crazy talented individual. To bring all these artists together and to have them be able to maintain the egos and be like, ‘Yo, look, this is what we’re trying to get done here,’ he’s mastered it."
The Heat star has previously said that while his teammates have loved listening to Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, he likes to listen to country music during his pregame workouts.
The Miami Heat played the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs without Jimmy Butler. He suffered an MCL sprain in the Play-In Tournament game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He is still recovering from the injury while being linked to trades this offseason.
