JJ Redick reacts to LeBron James' "insane" 4th quarter performance against Kings

LeBron James single-handedly dominated the Sacramento Kings in the fourth quarter, sealing the Lakers' 131-127 win at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday. Lakers coach JJ Redick was left in awe of the four-time NBA champion’s brilliance as he took over during "winning time."

Between 11:22 and 8:23 in the fourth quarter, LeBron scored 16 points, marking only the second time in his career he scored 16 or more points within a three-minute span. By joining Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Steve Smith and Steph Curry as the only players since 1996-97 to achieve this multiple times, the "King" earned widespread applause from the basketball community.

Leading the praise was his coach Redick, who called the four-time NBA MVP’s effort simply "insane."

"To get that performance to start the fourth from LeBron, what can you say?" Redick told reporters after the game. "We've all been fortunate to watch his greatness for very long and the fact that he's still doing it is insane."

LeBron’s heroics extended beyond scoring, as he expertly dismantled the Kings’ defense with his remarkable passing and controlled the boards with crucial rebounds, ultimately finishing the game with his 131st career triple-double.

In his 22nd season, showing few signs of slowing down, LeBron became the first player in NBA history to record at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in a single quarter while shooting 100% from the field.

Anthony Davis lauds LeBron James

Anthony Davis also shared his thoughts on LeBron James’ performance against the Sacramento Kings, affirming that every time people start to doubt LeBron’s abilities, the four-time NBA champion responds with a powerful statement on the court.

"Just when you think he's slowing down, he continues to show the world why he's the greatest," Davis said, as quoted by the Lakers Daily on X (formerly Twitter).

LeBron wrapped up the game with 32 points on 12 of 22 shooting, including 4 of 9 from beyond the arc. The former Cleveland Cavaliers star also tallied 14 rebounds, 10 assists and one block, finishing with a plus/minus of +13.
