Jrue Holiday gets positive injury update ahead of Team USA vs Brazil Olympic basketball game

Jrue Holiday has received major news regarding his ankle injury and is set to return to the court against Brazil on Tuesday. After Team USA secured the top spot of Group C in the Paris Olympic basketball tournament, Steve Kerr shared an update on Holiday's health ahead of the quarterfinals.

"USA coach Steve Kerr says Jrue Holiday (ankle) will play Tuesday vs Brazil," senior NBA reporter Marc J. Spears tweeted.

Holiday has been an important member of the 2024 Team USA, becoming the best perimeter two-way player on the team. The two-time NBA champion was initially named a starter for the Puerto Rico game but ultimately sat out due to an ankle injury.

His absence didn't affect Team USA, as they took down Puerto Rico 104-83 behind an electrifying performance by Anthony Edwards. The Minnesota Timberwolves star scored 26 points for the Americans, who lost the first quarter of the duel but never lost the advantage after taking it in the second quarter.

Jrue Holiday has had a solid performance in the 2024 Paris Olympics, averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 61.5% from the field, including 50.0% from deep.
