Jrue Holiday reveals his top 5 defenders in the league: “I feel like the acting probably make good defenders”

Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday has a list of his top 5 defenders in the NBA. While Holiday is a competitive two-way player, he still has respect for some of his peers across the league.

Jrue Holiday has been a consistent staple for the Milwaukee Bucks since arriving to the team in 2020. Since being acquired in a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans, Holiday has been just what the Bucks have needed. A four-time member of the NBA's All-Defensive teams, Holiday knows just how to be a pest on the defensive side of the floor.

Holiday has also taken strides as an offensive player throughout his career as well. This season, Holiday is averaging 19.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Appearing recently on "How Hungry Are You?" Holiday sat down with Serge Ibaka and gave him his top 5 defenders in the NBA.

Holiday went on to include teammate Brook Lopez in his top 5, and mentioned himself as a top defender as well. Holiday eventually went on to highlight players such as Marcus Smart, Rudy Gobert, and Draymond Green as well.

"OK, I'm gonna say Brook. I know that if I get beat, he's gonna be there to protect me."
"Me...I'll give Marcus Smart. There's some things that I don't like that he acts very well but he does play defense. The acting part of it, I don't know how to act but I feel like the acting probably make good defenders. I'll say Rudy Gobert. I think he's really tough and Draymond."

Holiday is known as one of the most underrated guards in the league. Not only does Holiday have the ability to step up offensively, but he's also a dangerous opponent on the defensive side of the ball.

When a player has so much talent on one side of the floor, it's interesting to see what players they have in such high regard. Holiday went on to praise the abilities of Marcus Smart, Rudy Gobert, and Draymond Green when it comes to their defense.

One of the most fascinating additions was Brook Lopez, Holiday's teammate with the Bucks. Holiday talks about how he knows Lopez is always going to be there for him if he gets beat off the dribble. Lopez is having an outstanding year as he's currently averaging 2.9 blocks per game for the Bucks.
