"Kamala Harris did an excellent job": Magic Johnson voices support for Democratic nominee with pointers around middle-class Americans
NBA legend Magic Johnson voiced his support for Vice President and Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris on his social media account. Johnson made a post on X praising the Democratic party nominee for her vision for the United States of America.
"Vice President Kamala Harris did an excellent job of making her case on why she should be President of the United States tonight and I’m so proud of her!" Johnson tweeted.
Further in his tweet, Johnson mentioned the $25K down payment that Harris had promised to provide for people belonging to the middle class who aspired to own a house. He also mentioned the $50K startup expense deduction the Democratic party nominee promised to small businesses.
Magic Johnson has been an avid supporter of Harris in the White House and he is not alone. Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban has also rallied behind Kamala Harris in the past and made posts on his X account supporting the Democratic nominee.
Even Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry expressed his support for Harris in the White House. He endorsed Harris with a special video message remarking that she would unite America.
NBA fans react to Magic Johnson voicing support for Kamala Harris
Magic Johnson's post supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for office did not receive the greatest reaction from some NBA fans. One fan accused Johnson of getting paid for voicing his support.
"12 of the last 16 years they had the power to uplift people. Just say your paid off and move on"
Other fans joined the fray and expressed similar sentiments under his post.
"Excellent job telling lies and since you have my attention, change the team name to anything but commanders, as we saw yesterday there is nothing that this team is in command of," @JGinMD1 said.
"The middle class is struggling like never before under her and Biden for the last 3.5 years. Another 4 years of this will cripple our country," @artbylaryviere said.

While some fans expressed their negative views on the NBA legend endorsing Harris, others expressed their support and stood by Johnson's post.
"She was tremendous. Can’t wait to vote for her!" @JaniceJoyHollad said.
"So proud of our VP!!" @rmarootian said.
Magic Johnson has become a successful businessman after having a legendary career in the NBA. He is among the few NBA players to have made the billionaire club alongside Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
