Despite New York's loss in its season opener, partners of Knicks players linked up after the game. Josh Hart's wife Shannon posted on Instagram, and Towns' girlfriend Jordyn Woods shared her post with a two-word reaction.
"Best time," Woods captioned her post, posing with six other partners of New York players.
As for the game, the Celtics topped the Knicks 132-109, as Karl-Anthony Towns debuted for the team, having been traded at the start of October.
Karl-Anthony Towns traded to Knicks
On October 3, the Knicks traded for Karl-Anthony Towns in a three-team deal involving the Minnesota Timberwolves and Charlotte Hornets. The Timberwolves sent the four-time All-Star big man to New York in exchange for Julius Randle, Dante DiVincenzo and Keita Bates-Diop along with a first-round pick.
Towns notched 12 points in his debut for New York, adding seven rebounds and three assists. He shot 5 of 9 in 24 minutes of action and was 1 of 2 from 3-point range.
He spent nine seasons in Minnesota, making four All-Star appearances and averaging 22.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists during his time with the Timberwolves. He earned two All-NBA third-team nods (2017-18, 2021-22).
Towns and the team will look to bounce back in their second game of the season, taking on the Indiana Pacers on Friday in their home opener. They are 5.5-point favorites over Indiana, per ESPN Bet.
