"Keep doing his podcast, it's cute!" - Dillon Brooks fires shots at Draymond Green after on-court exchange, sparks hilarious memes and reactions

Dillon Brooks revealed the trash talk between him and Draymond Green during the Memphis Grizzlies' 131-110 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. Brooks and Green haven't seen eye-to-eye due to their previous run-ins, starting last season.

It wasn't surprising to see the two chirping at each other during the game. Nobody was aware of the conversation that went down between the two, but Brooks shed light on it after the game, saying (via Bleacher Report on Twitter):

"I told him keep that mic... Keep doing his podcast, keep blogging, keep doing his thing off the court, it's cute it's fun."
"Keep doing his podcast. ... It's cute, it's fun for him."

Green and Brooks' exchange started way before Thursday's showdown between the Warriors and the Grizzlies. In a recent interview with ESPN, Brooks took a dig at the Warriors forward, saying:

"I don't like Draymond at all... Draymond talks a lot. Gets away with a lot, too. His game is cool -- with Golden State -- but if you put him anywhere else, you're not going to know who Draymond is. He plays with heart, plays hard, knows the ins and outs of their defense. I guess that's why they like him over there."

Draymond Green took note of these comments and used his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, to hit back at the Grizzlies forward, calling him an "idiot" and a "clown."

"If you ever wondered why the Memphis Grizzlies is not ready to compete for a championship, look no further than this idiot right here... I know dynasty-like players. They aren't clowns. That doesn't work when building a dynasty... Take it from me -- I actually know! Clowns don't work building a dynasty."

The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies had a couple of heated matchups in the postseason. In 2021, they faced off in the play-in tournament in the eighth-seed knockout game. In 2022, they locked horns in the second round of the playoffs. Memphis was victorious in 2021, while the Warriors took home the bragging rights the following year.

Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green are among the locker room leaders for their teams and have been at the forefront of all the trash-talking. Green has expressed several times that he doesn't consider Memphis a rival due to their lack of achievements with their current core, which has irked Brooks and the players on the other side, prompting them to indulge in heated exchanges.

Dillon Brooks has the last laugh over Draymond Green as shorthanded Memphis outclass Warriors at home

The Golden State Warriors dropped their third straight game since Steph Curry's return on Thursday. Their woes away from home continued against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Warriors have a league-worst 7-26 away record.

The Dubs were down 48-28 in the first quarter against the shorthanded Grizzlies, without the suspended Ja Morant and the injured Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke. That deficit didn't give the Warriors a chance to get back in the game at any juncture later on.

Steph Curry dropped 29 points, Jordan Poole had 22 points, and Draymond Green finished with 16 points. The Warriors shot 43.9% from the floor. The Grizzlies did a much better job with their efficiency as they outscored the Warriors in all areas while maintaining their defensive composure.

Taylor Jenkins' men made 53.8% field goals and gained an 18-15 advantage from beyond the arc over the defending champions. Tyus Jones scored 22 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane bagged 21 apiece. Four other players scored over 10 points.
