Ja Morant is the most exciting player in the league right now. Having him on the sidelines has hurt the team since he is their franchise star. Not only does he generate wins, but he also packs the arena with fans.

Let's take a look at how well he's played this season. His scoring from last season is similar to how well he's been scoring this season. Morant is averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 46.3%, including 31.6% from downtown.

He was one of the MVP candidates this season, but the other candidates have performed better individually. Despite not being heavily favored as an MVP candidate, Morant could still be considered an All-NBA player when the season wraps up.

If he puts his issues behind him, Morant could take the Grizzlies to a deep playoff run this season.
