Kendrick Perkins gives hilarious reaction to Phoenix Suns loss after another dominant Zion Williamson performance

Zion Williamson caught the ire of the entire Phoenix Suns team when he executed a 360 windmill dunk to cap off the New Orleans Pelicans' win. The game was all over when Williamson, egged on by the boisterous home crowd, slammed the ball.

The dunk nearly caused a brawl on center court as several players and coaching staff from both sides had a heated argument. Phoenix players were angered by the thunderous exclamation point, which felt unnecessary as the Pelicans were up 126-117 before the dunk.

After the game, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins had this to say on Twitter:

“The Suns did all that extra s**t the other night behind Zion 360 Windmill and today they had an opportunity to actually do something about it… but instead Zion served them with a 35 piece special “Cajun Rub” with the win!!! I can’t make this up. Carry on…”

To the Phoenix Suns’ credit, they pushed the New Orleans Pelicans without superstar guard Devin Booker. Unlike the previous game where it was all over before Williamson’s patented 360 slam, this one needed an extra five minutes to be settled.

Zion Williamson had another blistering night, finishing with 35 points on 14-21 shooting, including 2-3 from deep. Williamson is nearly unstoppable inside the paint, but when he gets his three-point shot going, he just becomes a nightmare to defend.

He also had eight rebounds and seven assists to his name. Willie Green was thrilled with how his superstar responded to the Suns’ consistent double-teaming, handing out seven dimes, which could have been more.

Williamson has become more and more skilled with his playmaking as teams continue to be creative with their coverage of him. Pelicans VP David Griffin signed Williamson to the max extension believing that "Point Zion" is "historically good."

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... ZION WILLIAMSON. https://t.co/MhjV7Zpl0R

Last season, the Phoenix Suns dismissed the New Orleans Pelicans in just six games. The disparity in firepower was obvious as Zion Williamson couldn’t get healthy enough to be in the playoffs. New Orleans beat the Suns in back-to-back games without Brandon Ingram.

If both teams are healthy and meet in the playoffs, Phoenix will not have the edge in superstar production.

Zion Williamson’s presence has made a huge difference for the New Orleans Pelicans

Zion Williamson has been playing better than his All-Star season two years ago.

At one point, the New Orleans Pelicans held a 2-12 record last season, the worst in the NBA. After 26 games, they were 7-19, the second-worst mark at the time. They didn’t have Zion Williamson for the entirety of last season.

The Pelicans are currently 18-8, which surprisingly leads the stacked Western Conference. They’ve surpassed the Phoenix Suns, who have now dropped to fourth place with a 16-11 win-loss card.

Zion Willamson is averaging 25.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and career-highs in assists (4.2) and steals (1.2). His 35.7 mark from beyond the arc is also the best of his career.

Over the last six games, where he has seemingly found his rhythm, he has put up 31.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He is also making 68.0% of his field goal attempts, including 40.0% from deep.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram have only played 12 games this season. The New Orleans Pelicans know they could have something special brewing on their hands if both continue to play at the level they’re capable of.
