Kevin Durant approves fan's rebuttal to 'what's wrong with NBA' rhetoric

Kevin Durant agreed with a fan contradicting the 'what's wrong with NBA' school of thought on Saturday. The Phoenix Suns star retweeted the fan's post on X (formerly Twitter) and approved her rebuttal to the most common rhetoric in the league today.

Expressing her views on the narrative that today's NBA isn't the same as before. A Twitter handle by the name of 'Betsycashmoney' counter-argued the notion on X, claiming that most of these views weren't factually based:

"Don't get me wrong-- there's *SO* much the NBA could do better," wrote the fan. "But at the same time-- all the "What's wrong with the NBA" talk is also insufferable. The entire discourse is just nostalgic, opinion-based complaints & whining, with zero regard for facts/data/research whatsoever."

The Slim Reaper approved the fan's take on this idea and retweeted the post with a quote:

"Good morning! I agree…Enjoy todays slate of games" expressed Kevin Durant.

Since its conception, the NBA has continued to reform and evolve into the league we know today. Many fans today believe the league has lost its competitive edge mainly due to the lack of defending in today's game. With rules favoring attacking plays, many nostalgic fans look to the 90's for comparison.

Even older players have been outspoken about how today's NBA is entirely different from their era, but KD seems to have a different opinion. The star has been one of the players targeted by this narrative and seems to believe that today's league carries as much weight as its previous iterations.

Kevin Durant counters a fan on social media after his NFL Week 11 picks on FanDuel

After being accused of contradicting his previous claims, Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant had a heated exchange with a fan on X (formerly Twitter). The 36-year-old was confronted by a fan on X after posting a graphic of his NFL Week 11 betting picks on FanDuel.

Durant, who has been vocal about fans betting in the past, was targeted by a fan for promoting the gambling site.

"the dude who tells people to stop gambling and get a job promoting fanduel," the fan wrote.

This remark caused Kevin Durant to return fire as he clarified why he said what he said in the first place.

"No, I tell u to stop complaining about this life that youve committed to. When u lose, there’s finger pointing. When u win, there’s gloating about how smart you are about seeing the future. No gratitude to the service workers like myself. I’m sick of it," KD wrote.

The two-time NBA champion had earlier criticized fans for not sharing their parlay victories with him and for their complaints when he doesn't meet their betting expectations. This particular fan appears to have internalized KD's remarks, responding promptly when given the opportunity.
