Kevin Durant boasts about his 4 Olympic golds with Klay Thompson's signature 4-finger flex

Nothing is sweeter than winning gold and Kevin Durant knows what that feels like. Durant is coming off an excellent summer in France as he helped Team USA win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following their win, the Phoenix Suns star now has four Olympic gold medals under his belt.

On an appearance at the Fanatics Fest last weekend, former NBA player Jalen Rose asked Durant if winning the gold medal gets old for him.

"Nah, it doesn't," Durant said. "I'ma start hitting the Klay, walking around with my 4s up.

Durant was referring to the taunt that his former Golden State Warriors teammate Klay Thompson did to opponents by raising his four fingers after they won their fourth NBA title in 2022. Klay notably flexed his four rings on Devin Booker, although he later regretted that move.

The 14-time All-Star compared his experience to what he saw with Kobe Bryant during the 2012 London Olympics.

"To be around special dudes, 'cause I was around when Kobe [Bryant] was 36. I was 23, we played 2012 together. You seen how excited he was and he had accomplished everything at that point. Five championships, two Finals MVPs, 30,000 points. He had did it all and he was still excited about the opportunity to be around great players and that's exactly how I felt this time around."

Durant is now 35 years old and there might be a chance that he could still join the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and add a fifth gold medal to his collection. However, he'll be 39 at that time and could be the most senior player for Team USA.

After winning the gold medal, Kevin Durant was drug tested along with other stars

During the Olympics, Kevin Durant spent a lot of time with Anthony Edwards. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves star revealed that they couldn't celebrate properly since they were drug tested.

Edwards shared that Steph Curry was also one of the players who was drug tested after their gold medal game. New York City-based reporter Aliyah Funschelle posted a clip of Ant-Man talking about it during Fanatics Fest on X (formerly Twitter).

"We couldn't even really celebrate in the locker room, for real, because me, him and Steph had to take like a drug test or something," Edwards said.

Both Durant and Edwards were key players off the bench for Team USA. Durant played six games and averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Meanwhile, the Wolves star averaged 12.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
