Kevin Durant drops 3-word reaction after fan claims Suns star's burner is "NBA Centel"

Aside from being one of the NBA's greatest offensive talents, Kevin Durant is also known for his activity online. The former MVP recently had an interesting response to a fan comparing his old antics to a troll account.

Early in his career, Durant admitted to having burner accounts that he'd regularly post from. He typically would use these to go online and defend himself when fans were constantly attacking him. This was big during his time with the Golden State Warriors, as Durant was viewed as one of the league's biggest villains.

Fast forward to now, and people are still bringing up Kevin Durant's burner account days. One fan took to X (formerly Twitter) to jokingly claim he still has one. The fan stated that KD now hides behind the famous account "NBA Centel."

Durant would go on to have a simple three-word response to let the world know he didn't find the remark comical.

As the preseason rolls along, Durant is gearing up for his second full season with the Suns. Despite having a short offseason due to playing in the Olympics, he's been on the floor for most of his team's matchups.

Durant last took the floor on Friday night against the Detroit Pistons. In 24 minutes of action, he tallied 18 points and two rebounds in a loss.

Kevin Durant slams fans who get baited by "NBACentel"

Kevin Durant might not use burner accounts anymore, but he is still very tapped in on social media. He posted on Monday morning to poke fun at all the fans who continue to get baited by a fake page.

In the NBA Twitter landscape, one account that has become famous is "NBACentel." The sole purpose of this page is to look like a news account but put out fake reports and quotes to try and get a rise out of fans. Despite everyone knowing their antics at this point, the account still manages to constantly generate viral posts.

On Monday morning, NBACentel ended up getting a shout-out from Kevin Durant. The Phoenix Suns star admitted he checks X (formerly Twitter) every day just to read the comment section of their posts.

"Sometimes I wake up and look at @TheNBACentel comments just to truly see how many dummies come online thinking that they have high iq. Good morning"

This response likely stems from one of the page's most recent posts being about him. They put together a fake quote of why Durant is still single, resulting in numerous reactions from fans. KD even went out of his way to troll a fan who thought the post was accurate.

As a fresh NBA season gets ready to begin, KD's activity on social media is surely going to increase.
