Kevin Durant injury update: When does KD come back and line up for Phoenix Suns? Latest update on 13x All-Star

The latest update on Kevin Durant's injury is positive news for the Phoenix Suns. There is a chance that the 13-time All-Star will make his debut for the Western Conference team on Friday, Feb. 24.

The two-time NBA champion has appeared in 39 games for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2022-23 season. However, he hasn't played since Jan. 8 and was traded to the Suns in the meantime.

Durant may return to action against his former team, the OKC Thunder, on Friday night. The superstar forward said that his knee felt good ahead of the game, which was moved national TV.

The Phoenix Suns will host the OKC Thunder on Friday night, which will be their first game since the All-Star break. This will also be the final home game for the Suns in February, as they will go on a four-game road trip afterward.

Durant is still sidelined with a knee injury, but all signs point to him making his Suns debut on Friday.

Durant spent the first nine years of his career playing for the Thunder, including one season for the Seattle SuperSonics before their relocation. The star forward led the team to the 2012 NBA Finals, where they were beaten by the Miami Heat.

When asked if he'd play against the Thunder on Friday night, the four-time scoring champion said:

"I don’t know. My knee feels solid, though," Kevin Durant said. "I’ve got a couple more days before games, so I’m just going to try to figure it out with the training staff and see what the best option is.”

While this is far from a confirmation of his debut with the Phoenix Suns, there is a good chance that KD will suit up for Friday night's matchup against his former team.


Durant is an amazing addition to the Suns

Despite being 34, Kevin Durant is still one of the best scorers in the league. He's averaging 29.7 points per game on a career-high 55.9% shooting in the 2022-23 season, which is very impressive.

"Slim Reaper" is a lethal scorer who can knock down shots from any spot on the floor. He is a high-volume shooter who is very efficient, making him a perfect addition to the Suns.
