Kevin Durant takes aim at Super Bowl winner after co-panelist uses Paul Pierce to make a point

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant isn't a fan of being compared to other players. Recently, former NFL superstar Keyshawn Johnson made an interesting comparison with Durant and Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce, which prompted the former to respond on social media.

Johnson hasn't moved on from KD's time with the Golden State Warriors where the forward won his two titles. The 14-time All-Star became the topic of discussion and the former wide receiver compared him to Pierce.

"If I put Paul Pierce on the Golden State Warriors with Klay Thompson and Draymond and Steph Curry, you don't think he could do the same s**t?" Johnson said.

Durant saw what Johnson had said and didn't hesitate to give his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).

"If the jets would’ve took Jonathan Ogden, Marvin Harrison, ray lewis or Eddie George number 1 they would’ve been better off……I hate comparisons"

Durant referenced the 1996 NFL Draft where Johnson was selected first overall by the New York Jets. Although he won a Super Bowl and became a three-time Pro Bowler, the Jets did bypass a few notable names, opting not to draft players like Johnathan Ogden, Marvin Harrison, or Ray Lewis, three Hall of Famers.

Durant's impact on the Warriors will forever be remembered. His ability to draw the defense's attention due to his scoring prowess and physical attributes made him an incredible fit with the team. Substituting him for Pierce might not bear the same results.
