Kevin Durant x 'Weatherman' Nike KD 4 Retro: Where to buy, price, and more details explored
One of the fan favorites when it comes to basketball sneakers is those from Kevin Durant's signature line with Nike. To date, KD has sixteen signature shoes since signing with Nike in 2007, back when he was a rookie playing for the Seattle Supersonics.
Despite having released a plethora of newer signature sneakers, fans keep coming back to the Nike Zoom KD 4, which was initially released back in 2011, when KD was a member of the OKC Thunder and was still teammates with both Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
Due to its popularity, the Nike KD 4 is set to have a rerelease of one of its most popular colorways, the "Weatherman." This colorway is dominated by a green color palette with black soles and splashes of orange.
The "Weatherman" will become available later this summer on Nike's online and offline outlets, as well as several official Nike retail partners. The retail price of this colorway is much higher now compared to its original $70 price tag back in 2011 as it is reportedly going to cost $130 when it hits shelves this summer.
Aside from the "Weatherman," the Nike Zoom KD 4 "Galaxy" All-Star colorway is also set to become available this year.

Kevin Durant's inspiration for the "Weatherman" colorway was a childhood aspiration
Just by looking at his highlights or all the accomplishments and various accolades he has collected over his NBA career, it is safe to say that Kevin Durant was made to play professional basketball.
KD is a two-time NBA champion, league MVP and FIBA World Championship MVP in 2010.
However, had things gone differently for the current Phoenix Suns forward, then we might be seeing him on TV doing something else. According to him, when he was a boy, he wanted to become a weatherman.
This dream job of his is what inspired the iconic "Weatherman" colorway for the Nike Zoom KD 4 when it was originally released in 2011.
KD is currently 10th on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 27,799 career points. He is widely considered one of the best, not only today but in the history of the NBA as evidenced by his inclusion in the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team.
While it might have been interesting to see the name Kevin Durant doing the weather forecast, it certainly would have been a huge loss for the basketball community if he did not end up playing in the NBA.
