Khloe Kardashian pens heartfelt tribute to Tristan Thompson's mother: All you need to know

Khloe Kardashian threw her support behind former flame Tristan Thompson after the death of the basketball player’s mother Andrea Thompson last Jan. 5. The erstwhile couple spent time in Toronto to grieve her passing due to a heart attack.

On Jan. 14, during the funeral of Tristan Thompson’s mother, the “Good American” designer, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner were spotted at the said event.

Here’s Khloe Kardashian's lengthy Instagram post two weeks after Andrea Thompson was laid to rest:

“I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real. I have so much to say but nothing at all…. I have so many emotions and still I feel numb. Life can be brutally unfair at times and This has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives.
“But at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult. So difficult that I’m choosing not to say goodbye for good because that is something I cannot fathom.
“Goodbyes for good are something I don’t believe in. I KNOW I will see you again. I know I will hear your sweet voice and infectious laugh again. I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. I’ll see you again with the many that have gone before you that I so desperately miss, love and cherish.”

Despite Khloe Kardashian breaking up her reported engagement to Tristan Thompson for fathering a child with Maralee Nichols, Kardashian and Tristan’s mother remained close.

Here’s the “Pink Diamond” creator continuing her message:

“I know you are with our Lord and Savior. I know you are rejoicing up there. Dancing and singing and probably yelling “who does that!!” because we are crying at your loss. At the same time, I know you never wanted to leave your boys. They are your entire world.
"They will learn to live with the hole in their hearts because they are warriors just like their warrior mommy. Just know, I promise you, Amari will be perfectly ok. We will all look after him, help him and protect him. Your boys will be ok because they have their guardian Angel by their side.
“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22

Amari Thompson, Tristan Thompson’s youngest brother, was specifically mentioned by Khloe Kardashian for a reason. He suffers from epilepsy and sometimes has violent seizures, among other things.

Andrea Thompson, before she passed away, spent a huge chunk of her time taking care of the youngest Thompson sibling.

Tristan Thompson may find a team before the NBA trade deadline

Tristan Thompson could still find an NBA team this season.
Tristan Thompson could still find an NBA team this season.

Tristan Thompson remains a free agent but could find his way back into the NBA as the trade deadline nears. He is only 31 years old and was a serviceable big man in his last season with the Chicago Bulls.

Teams who are looking for a tough interior presence who will do the dirty work could like his resume. There are big men older than him in the league now who have done just fine. If he gets back into shape and regains his focus, particularly after his mother’s death, then a return to pro basketball could be possible.
