"Killer clown" - LeBron James shares daughter Zhuri's Halloween outfit with adorable caption on IG
Nearly everyone is getting into the Halloween mood, including four-time NBA MVP LeBron James and his family. The LA Lakers star snapped a photo of his daughter, Zhuri Nova James, wearing her Halloween costume and shared it on Instagram.
James, who also has a penchant for impressing fans with his annual costumes, expressed his love for his daughter in his post. He also took the time to greet his followers.
"I'm in love with a sweet, loving killer clown," James said. "Happy Halloween folks."
LeBron James has donned various Halloween costumes throughout the years. He has also worn a killer clown costume before. It came from Stephen King's "IT."
Looking at LeBron James' past Halloween costumes
The LA Lakers star enjoys dressing up as iconic pop culture characters.
In 2008, James did his best John Travolta impression by wearing a "Grease" costume. He donned a leather jacket and dark glasses and completed the look with a wig.
In 2015, he paid homage to musical artist Prince. Just like his '08 attire, James wore a wig and a coat similar to what the singer would wear.
The year after, he dressed up as Jerome, Martin Lawrence's character from the TV show "Martin." That year, James and the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted a party celebrating their win over the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 Finals. The party featured decor that took shots at the Warriors' 3-1 lead, as well as tombstone-shaped snacks with the names of Warriors players.
After 2016, LeBron James started going for scarier characters. In 2017, he dressed up as Pennywise, the killer clown from Stephen King's "IT". That year, the character of Pennywise became popular again after a remake of the movie was released.
In 2018, he showed up as one of the most popular villains in slasher film history. He wore a hockey mask and wielded an ax to complete his Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) look.
The year after, he put on some makeup, stepped into a full black outfit and then put fake scissors on his hands for the "Edward Scissorhands" look. His costume that year was from the 1990 Tim Burton film that starred Johnny Depp.
James was back with a vengeance in 2021 with his "Nightmare on Elm Street" costume. He put on a faded fedora, a red and tan striped sweater and a glove with blades on each finger. He completed his look by wearing makeup that made his skin look burnt, just like Freddy Krueger.
Last year, he went for a character from another film directed by Tim Burton. James chose to dress up as "Beetlejuice" from the 1988 film of the same title.
LeBron James' costumes have been so iconic, and the NBA has posted a compilation of these costumes on Instagram.
