Kiyan Anthony admits to Angel Reese he's starstruck by LeBron James' aura despite father Carmelo Anthony's close relation

Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, told Angel Reese that he's still starstruck by LeBron James despite his father's relationship with the NBA star. On Thursday, the younger Anthony appeared as a guest on Reese's show, "Unapologetically Angel," where he talked about getting stunned by James' aura.

Anthony's father, Carmelo, has a close relationship with the LA Lakers superstar. They were part of the same NBA Draft class in 2003. Although they're always competitive against each other on the court, the two stars have expressed their off-court friendship countless times.

The WNBA player asked Kiyan Anthony if there was someone he often gets starstruck with. The young hooper surprised Reese by naming James.

"Even when I be seeing LeBron, I still be like, 'That's Bron,'" Anthony said.

Reese mentioned that Anthony spends time with James' children, Bronny and Bryce, and contended that the child has most likely met the Lakers star on several occasions. However, Melo's son said the four-time champion isn't always around when hanging out with his friends.

"He don't really be around but at the games, after. Him just coming up, like aura is real. Some people just got aura."

Even though his father is close with James, Anthony hasn't gotten used to seeing the NBA star.

Kiyan Anthony talked about his relationship with Bronny James

Bronny James had a couple of on-court battles with Kiyan Anthony before joining the league. But the two have a strong relationship when they're not playing. During his visit to Reese's show, Anthony discussed his bond with the younger James now that the latter is in the NBA.

According to Anthony, the two of them haven't had a serious chat since the Lakers drafted James with the 55th pick. Although, he said that he has congratulated him on making it to the league.

"We talked, we didn't really talk about in the league, but we talked when he got drafted. I just told him my congratulations, go out there and kill. But we ain't really talk in depth about how the game is going, stuff like that," Anthony said.

Anthony also said that he was happy for Bronny for being able to play with LeBron James in the NBA. Shortly after, Reese asked the 17-year-old if he wanted to play with his father in the league.

"Yeah, if I had the chance."

Anthony talked about it at the 12:04 mark of the episode.

The high school star said that he has tried asking his father about coming out of retirement. However, he didn't share the full details if Melo has plans to make a comeback in the league to play together.
