Klay Thompson injury update- $190 million worth star ruled out of critical game against the Thunder
The Golden State Warriors are set to take on the OKC Thunder on Tuesday night in another critical game with playoff-seeding implications. However, it looks like the Warriors will have to do so without shooting guard Klay Thompson. This comes as Thompson has been added to the Warriors’ injury report as a late scratch due to lower back soreness.
Thompson joins starting forward Andrew Wiggins (personal) and reserve forward Andre Iguodala on the team’s injury report (left wrist). So Golden State will be extremely depleted on the wings.
The Warriors (41-38) enter Tuesday sitting sixth in the Western Conference. They are just half a game ahead of the seventh-seeded LA Lakers (40-38). So every game will be crucial for the Warriors’ chances of avoiding the play-in tournament.
Golden State is 2-1 against OKC this season. The Thunder (38-41) sit 10th in the West.
