Kobe Bryant's iconic sneaker outperforms WNBA superstar's line by five times

Even in death, Kobe Bryant's legacy continues to have the kind of influence many can only hope and dream for. A viral clip posted on YouTube by StrictlyBBall on November 30, 2024 ranked every current NBA player's signature shoe by how often they are worn in the NBA.

NBA players that have worn Kobe Bryant's signature shoe include Sacramento Kings' Malik Monk (Nike Kobe 5 Protro 'Draft Day PE'), and Denver Nuggets' Jamal Murray (Nike Kobe 5 Protro 'Championship Gold'). The list also has OKC Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Nike Kobe 6 Protro 'All-Star') and Philadelphia 76ers' Paul George (Nike Kobe 5 Protro 'Bruce Lee'), among others.

The other spots in the top 10 include Ja Morant (10), Donovan Mitchell (9), Giannis Antetokounmpo (8), and Devin Booker (7). It also has LeBron James (6), James Harden (5), Michael Jordan (4), and Kevin Durant (3).

If that happens, the shoe can still be bought on verified resale sites like GOAT, eBay, StockX, and KICKS CREW. Although prices may be slightly higher than those on the official store.

The shoe pays homage to his historic career with the Los Angeles Lakers where he spent his whole 20-year career and won all five of his NBA rings. It also features Kobe Bryant's signature Sheath logo and jersey number, both stitched onto the heel.
