Kobe Bryant's widow Vanessa Bryant thanks Serena Williams for beauty product hamper on IG
Serena Williams has been generous about her success, not just in the tennis world but also in the business world. Her friend Vanessa Bryant has also been reaping the generosity of Williams, who sent Bryant one of her signature beauty products.
Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late basketball great Kobe Bryant, posted on her Instagram story the beauty product hamper Williams sent to her, thanking the tennis star for her generosity.
Vanessa Bryant inserted a sticker that says “Thank You” in the story.
The package includes a full makeup kit colored yellow and green from Williams’ beauty brand, Wyn Beauty. The brand is focused on delivering beauty and personal care products.
Serena Williams, who has won 23 grand slam championships in her career, launched Wyn Beauty in April this year. Williams started her own capital fund, Serena Ventures, in 2015, before also owning a social media app for kids known as Zigazoo.
She also owns Will Perform, a topical line of pain relievers for athletes; a clothing brand, S by Serena; a jewelry brand, Serena Williams Jewelry; Nine Two Six Productions; and a stake in the NFL team Miami Dolphins.
Serena Williams gives Vanessa Bryant exclusive bags from Away
The American luggage brand Away partnered with Serena Williams in 2021. The same year, Williams sent Vanessa some exclusive bags from the brand.
In the package, Serena included a personal message for Vanessa, who was just one year removed from the death of her longtime partner Kobe Bryant and their daughter Gigi in a helicopter crash.
Serena Williams and Vanessa Bryant’s friendship stemmed from the tennis superstar’s relationship with Kobe Bryant when they were both on top of their games.
Serena and Kobe both became two of the biggest era-defining stars in their respective fields. In doing so, the two have built a friendship bonded by greatness.
Both coming from African-American communities, Serena and Kobe have also brought glory to the United States, especially in the Olympics. Williams has won four gold medals in her career, while Bryant has been an Olympic champion twice with Team USA.
Bryant, who won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, even tried tennis after retiring in 2015.
Williams retired from tennis in 2022 after winning more singles titles than any other tennis player at the time. Starting her career in the 1990s, Williams is one of the greatest tennis players of all time, the same way Kobe was regarded as one of the GOATs in basketball.
