Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa reveals early look at Kobe 9s Christmas Stockings edition
NBA legend Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa Bryant, took to Instagram on Monday to share a promo video for the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro "Christmas" ahead of its release on December 12. The 2024 Holiday season marks a decade since the kicks were first launched in 2014 and they are making a comeback in celebration of the 10-year milestone.
The iconic Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro "Christmas" first gained attention when all players of the LA Lakers wore them for their Christmas Day matchup against the Chicago Bulls in 2014. However, the lineup missed Kobe Bryant as he sat out due to injury.
The soon-to-be-released kicks stay true to the 2014 design with a red, black and white build, accented by green at the heel. The sneakers are also etched with "Mamba's Greetings" with green stitches on the inside of the tongue to further convey the festive spirit.
The Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro "Christmas" is scheduled to release at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday and is likely to sell out immediately. It will be available on the Nike SNKRS app and website at $240 for adult sizes and $120 for big kid sizes.

Kobe Bryant's second youngest daughter, Bianka, turned eight years old last week. To celebrate her daughter's birthday, Vanessa Bryant organized a Star Wars-themed party and shared a video collage of the party on Instagram.
Vanessa Bryant also shared a birthday tribute to her daughter through a snap of Bianka coupled with a heart-warming birthday message in the caption. She also shared the significance of her daughter's eighth birthday in the caption, relating it to Bianka's dad, Kobe Bryant.
