"Kwame hit them shots" - Former Warriors guard reveals Michael Jordan brutally mocking Kwame Brown in Chicago club
Former NBA star Michael Jordan played with many teammates over the years, including Kwame Brown, a player many fans remember. Former Golden State Warriors star Gilbert Arenas recounted an instance where Jordan mocked Brown while they were at a club in Chicago.
Brown has never had the best relationship with Jordan, as the former NBA big man had addressed they're not friends. During their time as teammates, Arenas encountered an incident where the Bulls legend mocked Brown. The three-time All-Star didn't specify when it happened, but the Wizards were in a Chicago club when it happened.
"His nemesis is Jordan but his real nemesis is [Charles] Oakley," Arenas said. "Cause Oakley scared the s**t out of him. I remember we sitting at the bar and Kwame was like, 'Yeah, I'mma f**k him up, I'mma whoop his a** now. He by himself.'"
Arenas recalled that when Brown saw Jordan, he asked the bartender to give him five liquor shots. As he was taking the shots, the 14-time All-Star went up to them and said:
"Jordan come, 'Hey h**. What your a** doing here h**?' All you see was Kwame take them, hit them shots. He seen it and he was like, 'Oh, he trying to get some courage huh? Oakley downstairs.' That's all MJ said. Whatever that liquor was gonna do, the name Oakley reversed that s**t."
Jorand and Brown were teammates from 2001 to 2003 with the Washington Wizards but things never worked out for the both of them on the floor.
Brown struggled to make an impact in the NBA as a top pick as the player drafted out of high school became a journeyman. His third season (2003-04) was his best, where he averaged 10.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.

Brown talked about how Michael Jordan doesn't act like a celebrity
Despite their differences, Brown was still able to see Michael Jordan through a different lens. While fans view him as someone bigger than life, the former Wizards center mentioned that Jordan didn't act like a celebrity, despite his stardom. In an interview back in April 2023, the player talked about his former teammate.
"Michael is not gonna play with you. He didn’t act like a celebrity, he might not say he is not a celebrity, but in real life, he don’t act like a celebrity," Brown said.
"He might be with Charles Oakley and this small little white guy named Georgie [George Koehler], and that’s it. He don’t have no armed bodyguards, no security, none of that."
Brown talked about Jordan at the 1:25 mark.
The player out of high school also spoke highly of how others respected MJ because of how he treated others. Despite how their time together wasn't the best, Brown still thinks highly of Jordan.
