Kyle Kuzma in splits over Donald Trump’s ‘eating pets’ claim - “What a November we will have”
Kyle Kuzma couldn't help but laugh after former United States President and current Republican Party nominee Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that Haitian immigrants are eating domestic pets in an Ohio city. Trump faced off against Kamala Harris during Tuesday's presidential debate, dropping claims against Haitian immigrants. Trump said, via BBC:
"In Springfield, they are eating the dogs. The people that came in, they are eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there."
The Washington Wizards forward, like many other people around the country, caught this news and went to X/Twitter and posted:
""They’re eating the pets 🫣🫣😂 it’s like you can’t make this up! What a November we will have lol."
According to Springfield officials, the 'reports' about this piece of information aren't credible. This claim can be traced to a Aug. 27 meeting in Springfield when a local resident said park ducks were killed and used for food, while accusing city officials of bringing immigrants to the city. Yet, the person didn't provide any evidence to support these accusations.
After Joe Biden dropped out of the race for the presidency, Kamala Harris replaced him, becoming the second woman to compete against Donald Trump for office (Hillary Clinton in 2016).
Kyle Kuzma has been immersed in politics in recent weeks
Before reacting to Donald Trump's claims, Kyle Kuzma also tweeted about Robert Kennedy's stance on the modern democratic party. On Aug.t 23, Kuzma deemed Kennedy's comments as "interesting."
"Damn. Interesting to hear this from someone with a lifelong perspective & family heritage!" Kuzma tweeted.
This post didn't sit well with everybody, as former NFL wide receiver Torrey Smith disagreed with the former NBA champion.
"Every family has a dumb**s... I mean free spirit," Smith quote-tweeted Kuzma.
When it comes to sports, politics and religion, people tend to be more reactionary than with other topics. With Kuzma posting more about politics in the last couple of months, it was just a matter of time before he caught the attention of another high-profile name.
Meanwhile, Kyle Kuzma is preparing for the upcoming NBA season with the Washington Wizards. He will try to change the fortunes of his team and make it a squad to fear in the East.
