LA Lakers injury report: LeBron James set to miss out, Anthony Davis expected to suit up vs Grizzlies

The LA Lakers are set to host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers are looking to build on their huge win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. However, they are still without LeBron James due to injury, while Anthony Davis is expected to suit up.

According to the latest injury reports, James is still recovering from a right foot injury that is expected to keep him out for at least the next three weeks. He suffered the injury against the Dallas Mavericks, and the Lakers are 2-2 since it happened.

Meanwhile, Davis has been listed as probable due to a right foot stress injury. He was also listed as probable on Sunday against the defending champions, but played through it. He finished with 39 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the Lakers' 113-105 win.

In addition to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there are four more players on the injury report for the LA Lakers. Mo Bamba, Scotty Pippen Jr. and Cole Swider are listed as out, while D'Angelo Russell is questionable.

Bamba is recovering from an ankle sprain suffered against the Golden State Warriors. Pippen and Swider are both on two-way contracts and are currently playing for the Lakers' NBA G League affiliate.

Meanwhile, Russell is still dealing with a right ankle sprain, which he has been dealing for almost two weeks. The Lakers could manage without Russell since the Memphis Grizzlies don't have Ja Morant on their roster. Morant is currently serving the second game of his two-game suspension.

The LA Lakers (31-34) are looking to continue their winning ways following a much-needed victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday. The Lakers will need to beat the Memphis Grizzlies (38-25) to improve their chances of making the playoffs.

The Lakers are currently in 11th place in the Western Conference standings, but have the same record as the ninth-placed Utah Jazz and 10th-placed Portland Trail Blazers. They are also just 2.5 games behind the sixth seed, which is a guaranteed playoff spot.

It's going to be an interesting final stretch of the regular season out West. The Denver Nuggets might have separated themselves from the rest, but teams two to 13 are only separated by just eight games.
