Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell's girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas shares pregnancy update with fans
Los Angeles Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell may have missed another NBA finals but he certainly not miss one of the most significant phases of his life as his girlfriend Laura Ivaniukas shared some pregnancy updates on her Instagram account. The update showed Ivaniukas celebrating her 31st week of pregnancy, sharing an image on her Instagram Story:
Approximately two months away from giving birth, the baby will be D’Angelo Russell and Laura Ivaniukas’ second child together after their first born Riley Jones Russell. They most likely expect the baby’s birth in July.
Russell and Ivaniukas announced the pregnancy in February as they called it their “little secret”.
Weeks after announcing her pregnancy, Ivaniukas compared her first and second pregnancies, saying that the latter has been more challenging.
“NGL this pregnancy has been absolutely kicking my a** energy wise compared to my pregnancy with Riley,” she wrote in one of her IG stories on April.
“I’m completely out of breath walking up the stairs…getting into the gym is a struggle,” she added.
25-year-old Ivaniukas and Russell have been together for a long time. Ivaniukas is a model and a social media influencer. She has worked with agencies such as B&M in Toronto, Option 1 in Chicago, Wondermall in Milan, CGM in Miami, and Nomad in Los Angeles.
With over 55k followers on Instagram, she has also featured on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and Swimwear Fashion shows in 2019.
D’Angelo Russell pulls grand gesture for girlfriend on top of Crypto Arena
On Laura Ivaniukas’ 25th birthday last month, D’Angelo Russell pulled a grand surprise for her girlfriend, chartering a helicopter to the top of the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, where his Lakers play their home games.
Russell showed it off in an Instagram story last month as they enjoyed a picnic with a view of the entire Los Angeles skyline.
In the 2024 season, Russell averaged 18 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in 76 regular season games played, after being constantly on trade rumors throughout the season.
Despite Russell’s resurgent year, the Lakers were bounced off the playoffs by the 2023 NBA champions Denver Nuggets in the first round.
