Dwight Howard makes GOAT case for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

With arguably the greatest resume in NBA history, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was widely considered the greatest player in league history. This was before the likes of Michael Jordan and eventually, LeBron James rose to power.

During an appearance on the Above The Rim podcast, Howard reinforced the Captain's GOAT case.

"My personal 1-A GOAT Kareem Abdul-Jabbar," Howard stated. "He got the greatest stat line probably, and he should be the greatest with all the stuff he got."

Abdul-Jabbar's 'stuff' is arguably the most loaded resume in basketball history. He has to his credit six NBA championships, six NBA MVP awards, three NCAA National Championships and three NCAA Final Four Most Oustanding Player.

The NBA's second all-time leading scorer earned 19 NBA All-Star appearances, 10 All-NBA first-team appearances, five All-NBA second-team appearances, five NBA All-Defensive first-team appearances and six NBA All-Defensive second-team appearances.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar finished his 20-year NBA career averaging 24.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 blocks per game. He was the NBA's all-time leading scorer until LeBron James broke the record on February 8, 2023.
