Patrick Beverley to make a major decision on Israel league future citing fiancee Mandana Bolourchi

Currently playing overseas for Hapoel Shlom Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League, Patrick Beverley is pondering on his future with the team amid the ongoing conflict. According to BasketNews, Beverly is considering leaving Israel, citing the pressures from both his and his Iranian fiancee, Mandana Bolourchi's families.

"I'm almost like a spokesperson for Israeli sports. But a lot of people don't understand that I have a fiancee who's from Iran. Me being here is causing a lot of added stress from both families."

Beverly signed with Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv to play in the Israeli Basketball Premier League back in July. He reportedly turned down offers from the Houston Rockets and the Detroit Pistons before joining the Israeli team.

Beverley was aware of the situation in Israel and agreed to play there after deeming it safe. Beverly shared his thoughts about it during his podcast, "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone", in August. He said:

"Safety is important. If a bomb goes off, I'm gone. But most of our EuroCup games are in Bulgaria... I haven't got knowledge of any unsafe places in Tel Aviv now. My old teammate told me that in every apartment, there is a bomb room, and he used it to hang up clothes. He was there three or four months last season, and nothing happened."

In the nine EuroCup games that Beverley has played for Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv so far, he has averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.8 steals in almost 27 minutes per game. He is shooting 54.3% from the field including 36.2% from beyond the arc.
