Larsa Pippen rallies behind son Scotty Pippen Jr. during Grizzlies vs. Bulls showdown

Larsa Pippen is one supportive mother as she rallies behind Scotty Pippen Jr. during his game with the Memphis Grizzlies against the Chicago Bulls. Scotty Jr. has an opportunity to earn a spot in the Grizzlies roster with Derrick Rose's departure late last month.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Larsa shared a couple of pictures showing her support for Scotty from the comfort of her home. She currently lives in Miami, while her son was in Chicago for the Grizzlies' third preseason game.

"Let's go @spippenjr," Larsa wrote.

Scotty Pippen Jr. made Larsa Pippen proud as he started Saturday's game at the United Center. Scotty Jr. finished the game with 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in the Memphis Grizzlies 124-121 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Vanderbilt product is competing for a roster spot with the Grizzlies and has a good shot of making the cut. He's currently signed to a two-way contract although there's a vacancy following Derrick Rose's release on Sept. 23, announcing his retirement three days later.

Scotty Jr. will likely serve as a third-string guard for the Grizzlies, behind Ja Morant and Marcus Smart. Coach Taylor Jenkins could also start both players, so the son of the Hall of Famer could be a backup playmaker.

His competition is possibly Japanese guard Yuki Kawamura, who had two points and eight assists against Chicago. Scotty Jr. started his NBA career with the LA Lakers as an undrafted rookie, spending the majority of his time in the G League.

The 23-year-old guard was signed by the Grizzlies last January, averaging 12.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in 21 games played.

Scotty Pippen Jr. is Larsa Pippen's oldest son with Chicago Bulls legend

Scottie Pippen married Larsa Pippen in 1997 and the couple had four children together – Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin and Sophia. Scotty followed his father's footsteps into the NBA although he went undrafted. He still managed to play for the LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies.

Preston had a different passion and didn't pursue basketball, while Justin is committed to playing for Michigan this coming season. As for their youngest, Sophia is in high school, but already appeared on the first season of "Dancing with the Stars: Juniors."

In addition to four children with Larsa, Scottie Pippen has four kids with three different women. His eldest son Antron with ex-wife Karen McCollum passed away in 2021. He had twin daughters, Taylor and Tyler, with his ex-girlfriend, Sonya Roby. Tyler passed away nine days after birth. Scottie also has a daughter named Sierra with former fiancee Yvette De Leon.
