Shams Charania provided an update on "FanDuel TV" regarding Williamson's current hamstring strain.

“There’s still no timetable for return, he’s gonna be re-evaluated later this week… he did do some work and he is making some level of progress over the last several weeks," Shams Charania said.

Williamson has not been on the court since January 2 when the Pelicans lost to the Philadelphia 76ers with a score of 120-111. Williamson suffered his current injury when he secured a rebound late in the third quarter and decided to give the ball up near the 3-point line after bringing the ball up the court.

Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans (40-38) are eighth in the Western Conference standings and have won seven of their last ten games.

In a tightly-contested conference, Williamson could help in securing a final Play-In spot for the Pelicans with only four games remaining in the season. Not only can Zion Williamson's presence be felt in the regular season, but he can provide a boost to the Pelicans' offense and can make things interesting for rival teams in the postseason.
