"LeBron, DeRozan he don't f**k with" - Dj Akademiks says Drake dissed DeMar DeRozan for 'switching sides on him'

DJ Akademiks tried to shed light on the current state of the relationship between Drake, DeMar DeRozan and some of his former NBA friends. A video shared on X on Friday shows the podcaster talking about Drake's recent words about the Kings veteran.

In the video, music executive Wack100 said that Los Angeles was behind DeRozan if Drake tried to do something against him. However, Akademiks clarified that the Canadian rapper isn't beefing with California but certain individuals who were his friends and then turned on him during the Kendrick Lamar beef.

"Wack100, and I love you to death, and everybody else in the West Coast, let me tell y'all this: Kendrick wins it, y'all wins it, he losses, y'all loss. Drake don't have a problem with California, California gangs. He don't like his former friends or fake friends who switched sides on him.
"He don't hate California. LeBron [James], he don't f**k with, DeRozan, he don't f**k with; Kendrick he don't f**k with and all of the n****as that was dancing on stage with Kendrick, he don't f**k with. That's it," Akademiks said. (0:54 mark)

This comes after DeMar DeRozan returned to Scotiabank Arena last week as a Sacramento Kings player. Drake made his thoughts clear about DeRozan and even called him the B-word after the game was over.

More than that, Drake said that he personally would bring down DeRozan's jersey if the Raptors ever retired it.

LeBron James was one of the biggest fans of Not Like Us as he rapped the song whenever he had the chance and even attended a Kendrick Lamar show in June where DeMar DeRozan, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and others accompanied Lamar while he performed the song multiple times.

After he learned about Drake's words, DeMar DeRozan sent a clear message to the Canadian artist while talking with reporters on Saturday.

“He’s going to have a long way to climb… tell him good luck," he said.

This feud has involved more people, including Kings owner Vivek Ranavide. He wore a 'They Not Like Us' t-shirt to the second game between the Raptors and Kings.
